New Clergy ROCOR

On June 9/July 26, the feast day of the Tikhvin Icon of the Theotokos, in the town of Slobodsk, with the blessing of His Grace Victor, Bishop of Paris and Western Europe, Arch-Priest Vladimir Kirillov received Fr. Nicholas Ivshin from the Moscow Patriarchate through Repentance.

Father Nicholas is 35 years of age and has 5 children. He completed spiritual studies at Viatskoie. Father Nicholas researched long and hard before taking the path which led him to ROCOR. With great depth he investigated and read various publications. In his own words, he was particularly struck by the writings of our ever memorable Holy Hierarch, St. Philaret (Voznesensky). Fr. Nicholas Ivshin will serve with Archpriest Vladimir Kirillov.

Further, 11 July / 28 June during the Divine Liturgy in the Parish of the Royal Martyrs and New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia, His Grace Victor, Bishop of Paris and Western Europe, received into our Church (ROCOR) Heiromonk Arseni (Komarov) through the Episcopal order of "Hirotisia."

Fr. Asreni is 32 years of age. He completed theological studies in Muromsk under the Moscow Patriarchate as a sub-deacon. He soon came to understand the Patriarchate as false and having fallen away from the purity of Orthodoxy. He then began to search for the True Church. Commonly, one does not find what one seeks immediately. Due to poor information, Fr Aeseni fell into a group of the Patriarchate under Tichon (Kiselev), where he received tonsure and ordination. Less than a year later, Fr. Arseni realized the falseness Bp Tichon (Kiselev) represented, and appealed with repentance to the Church Abroad.

Hieromonk Arseni (Komarov) will serve the Parish in honor of the Icon of the Theotokos of Kazan in Sarotov province.
